A PRISON officer hanged herself after a lag she left her husband for stole £6,300 from her - then taunted her on Facebook.
Karen Mulliner, 36, was distraught after her druggie toyboy Michael Grey, 20, emptied her savings account.Her body was found next to an empty vodka bottle and the words "I'm sorry - he destroyed me" scrawled on a mirror.
Karen fell for Grey while he was in a young offenders institution where she worked. She dumped her husband when he was released and quit her job in Essex - and the pair moved to a shared flat in Christchurch, Dorset.
But their love turned sour and Karen split from the part-time cleaner. Grey then stole her cash card and withdrew £300 a day from her account for three weeks.
He later posted a snap of himself holding wads of cash on Facebook. Karen - by then a domestic violence support officer - told bosses his taunts were the "last straw". Three days later she was dead. Her tragic story emerged at Grey's trial for defrauding her.
Grey, now 23, pleaded guilty at Bournemouth Crown Court and was given eight months in jail to be added to a separate 30-month sentence he is already serving.
A former neighbour said: "I remember when she died. It was very sad. They hadn't been here long but she seemed very nice."
