EASTENDER Natalie Cassidy's bullying fiance whacked her with a slipper, smeared her face with mascara and ripped her top, a court was told yesterday.
Boozed-up Adam Cottrell, 31, could be jailed for twice assaulting the actress at home in front of their eight-month-old daughter.Natalie, 28, who played downtrodden Sonia Fowler in the BBC1 soap, fled the flat in Broxbourne, Herts, to stay with her dad.
But when she later demanded that transport boss Cottrell leave, he flew into another rage and punched a hole in a microwave oven, smashed wine glasses and broke a candlestick.
Cottrell admitted two counts of assault by beating and criminal damage when he appeared at East Hertfordshire Magistrates' Court.

"On April 13 they were at home and had an argument during which the defendant lost his temper and assaulted her, smearing her with mascara and striking her with a slipper to the upper leg.
"On May 20 the couple had another argument, also at home, during which he grabbed her by the arms and ripped her top. She left to stay with family.
"On May 22 she asked him to pick up his things and leave. She describes him as smashing the place up. These offences were committed when he had consumed alcohol and their child was present."

Chairman of the bench Jackie Mountford told him: "All options are open. We are not ruling out custody."
"I'm not angry, I'm just worried for Natalie and for my granddaughter. She's the most lovely baby, really happy."
The couple met in 2009, when Natalie described Cottrell as "The One". She has spoken of having more children with him. The star, who also appeared on Strictly Come Dancing, left EastEnders in 2007 after 14 years but returned last year
