Dr. Susan Saxton is senior vice president, leading Network Products and Services and International Online, which support Laureate International Universities campuses by developing and delivering online content.

Dr. Saxton joined Laureate Education in 2005, and previously served as senior vice president of Product Management, Education for Laureate Online Higher Education, and as chief academic officer for Laureate Higher Education Group.

Prior to joining Laureate, Dr. Saxton was vice president of strategy and product development and dean of students at Kaplan University. She previously served as dean of the College of e-Learning at Lynn University in Florida and as dean of the School of Business and Technology at Capella University. Dr. Saxton also served as president and CEO of Computing Solutions, Inc., an Internet-related education company providing consulting and networking for large technology organizations and providers. In addition, she worked in both the Tax Group (Arthur Young & Company) and the Entrepreneurial Services Group at Ernst & Young, providing tax and consulting services to international clients.

Dr. Saxton holds a Ph.D. in Human Services and Psychology and a Ph.D. in Organization Management from Capella University, formerly The Graduate School of America. She earned her LLM from University of Liverpool, an M.B.A. in finance from Boston University, her M.Ed. from Columbus University, a Master of Taxation from Georgia State University, and her B.A. in Mathematics from Wellesley College. She also attended the U.S. Naval Academy.

Dr. Saxton has appeared before the U.S. Congress and U.S. government policy councils and departments promoting legislation that would broaden access to higher education. She is the author and editor of several books, articles, and case studies on corporate strategy, virtual teams, leadership, online teaching and learning methodology, and organizational management. She has taught more than three dozen master's and doctoral courses and mentored more than 100 doctoral students.
