President, Network Products & Services
Dr. Germán A. Ramírez is president of the Laureate Network Products & Services Group (LNPS). Under his leadership, LNPS develops and delivers products and services aimed at providing Laureate International Universities with competitive advantage, improving student satisfaction and outcomes, promoting more interchange of students, faculty, and know-how, and collecting and disseminating best practices and IP.
Previously Dr. Ramírez was president of the Universidad de Las Américas, based in Chile. He also served as president of Laureate Central America, and as director of strategic planning for Sylvan International Universities.
Before joining Sylvan and Laureate, Dr. Ramírez led online training and Web-based development for Visa International. He formerly was vice rector of CESA School of Business and associate dean of the School of Finance & Foreign Trade at Sergio Arboleda University. Dr. Ramírez has also served as operations manager of the Salud Colmena HMO and as planning and personnel director of the Attorney General's Office in Colombia.
Dr. Ramírez earned his B.B.A. at CESA Business School - Colombia; his Law Degree from Los Andes University Law School - Colombia; his M.P.A. from INAP – Spain; and his M.Ed. and his Ed.D. from Harvard University.
