Daniel M. Nickel, executive vice president, is responsible for leading Laureate Education’s global human capital strategy. This includes managing organizational and cultural development, employee education and development, staffing, employee communications, diversity, compensation and benefits, employee relations and HR administration, safety, and compliance.

Mr. Nickel joined Laureate after a 15-year career at Motorola, where he served as senior vice president, human resources. At Motorola, Mr. Nickel was responsible for helping build the Motorola presence in Latin America.

Prior to joining Motorola, Mr. Nickel worked for Monsanto Company, Armco, and Varian Associates where he held assignments in both domestic and international operations.

Mr. Nickel has a B.S. in business administration from the University of Missouri and a Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara University. He is a member of the State Bar of California and the American Bar Association.
