With the 2010 champion Marc Marquez moving up to Moto2, there will be a new champion in the 125cc class who will go down in history as the last ever 125cc world champion. The main changes in the 125 entry list for 2011 are given below. Thanks to these changes, the full-time entry list has increased significantly from 26 last year to 31 this year.

Facts:
With this influx of new young riders, twenty of the full-time entrants in the 125cc class will still be teenagers at the opening race of the year in Qatar. The youngest rider is Maverick Vinales, who had his 16th birthday in January. The oldest rider in the 125cc class is Hector Faubel, who returns to the 125cc class after three years in the Moto2/250cc class and will be 27 at the opening race of the year.
