Future bright for Ashburton gymnasts

The Ashburton Gymnastics Club is taking steps to ensure the club's continued growth, and was this week awarded the Bronze Clubmark.
GymnastsKGThe Clubmark is an accreditation level award given to sporting organisations that demonstrate they have administrative and communication systems in place to help the club run efficiently.
"The Ashburton Gymnastics Club has been going for over 30 years," president Wendy Wills said.
"In the last 18 months we have worked hard and the club has increased our membership from 50 to 150."
During that time the club has worked alongside Sport Mid Canterbury to transform the club.
""Wendy came to me for some help and we worked alongside her to provide it and point them in the right direction," Sport Mid Canterbury's Jan Cochrane said.
"We are thrilled that they have achieved the bronze award and can now start making the appropriate steps towards the silver award."
With the infrastructure and support systems now in place the club future looks bright.
"Gaining the Clubmark has been a great way to help the club grow and also make sure we are on the right track," Wills said.
