I’ve been a fan of Battleground: Fantasy Warfare ever since it came out. If you are not aware, BGFW is a miniature wargame, but played with cards rather than miniatures. Each card represents a units, and each has a top-down view of the unit printed on it.
Since the publication of the first Battleground: Historical Warfare set early last year, it has all gone quiet at Your Move Games, and I must admit I was beginning to fear the worst.
However, this week saw the release of the much-anticipated BGFW: Dark Elves faction – something which appeared with very little announcement.
This release sees a change in format for BGFW armies. Up until this point, each army has been available as a Starter Deck and a Reinforcement Deck. Dark Elves have been released with the entire army in a single box – probably a good move.
Dark Elves are the one faction that were obviously missing from the BGFW available armies, so it’s very nice to see them finally available.
