Hey, the Obamas weren't invited either…
Tony Blair has opened up about not being invited to the royal wedding, and he's made it clear that he's not offended.
Here's what he had to say about it:
"I'm delighted for the royal couple. It is completely sensible to invite people from different walks of life instead of politicians. [I'm] absolutely not [offended] at all. It's not an issue and I wish them every happiness."While Tony's being very mature about his snub, former Labor foreign secretary Jack Straw believes he should have gotten an invite:
"My guess is that, reviewing the way the guest list has worked, the decision-makers probably would have made some different decisions in respect of former prime ministers."And here's what politician Michael Dugher had to say about it:
"The palace keeps saying this is a private wedding but it's a national celebration. There should be extraordinary sensitivity in relation to the invitations."Okay, so maybe it would have been nice if he had been invited. Nice to see he's not bitter about it though.
Way to take the high road, Tony! We give you lots of credit for that!
Do U think Tony Blair should have been invited to the royal wedding?
P.S. Be sure to watch Perez as he hosts with Nene Leakes "Will + Kate Forever," the only royal wedding special worth seeing, airing tonight, April 29th at 7pm/6c on Wedding Central and also at 9pm/8c on WE tv.
