FORMER WWE and WCW star Gregory Helms and his girlfriend Karen have been involved in a horror motorcycle smash that left them both with serious injuries.
Helms — most famous for playing the role of The Hurricane in the WWE — is reported to have received over 200 stitches and suffered injuries including a broken leg, ankle, nose and dislocated jaw.He posted some pictures of his wounds on the internet. Karen is said to have broken her neck. Both are recovering in hospital.
TMZ.com have report that Helms is being investigated by police over the crash, which happened near his North Carolina home, to see whether he was drunk. No charges have been filed at present.
Meanwhile the star's former girlfriend, TNA Knockout Velvet Sky, has joined Twitter in order to raise money to help her ex and Karen pay their hospital and surgery bills.
Despite reportedly having a tumultuous relationship with Helms, Velvet — whose real name is Talia Madison — said: "I know I said I would never get on Twitter but I want to use it in a positive way and spread the word about donations for Helms."
