May Beauty Bites

If we love it, chances are, you will too.  We are discerning and picky princesses, and don’t get our knickers twisted for just any body lotion or nail clipper! Here are this Months raves:
Jill Milan Handbags: A new vegan bag line that’s pvc free, and hand-crafted by the same artisans who make the Prada handbags. Don’t mind if we do! And this line isn’t incidentally animal-free, it’s very thoughtfully vegan, as her label states “with a commitment to animal welfare.”

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics: An all-vegan make up line specifically made by the pros for the pros?  Imagine mac without the icky preservatives and crushed up beetles! Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics is a breath of fresh air for us glamazons who want to still give face that doesn’t look too natural.  Particularly the seriously thick lip gloss (below, $13), perfect for porno lips and pta meetings.  The tinted moisturizer is quite brilliant for the mom-on-the-go.

bigRuby Nail Tattoos: bigRuby is a clever little company that designs supercool nail tattoos ($12 per set.)  It’s simple way to take an average mani or pedi and turn it into something unique, creative and fun. A strictly cruelty-free company, a portion of the proceeds goes to The Kindness Ranch (a sanctuary for research animals) as well as other animal rescues.

Hydros Water Bottles: What is giving good face worth without hydration? A brilliant way to get filtered water on the go, this re-usable water bottle ($29.99) filters your water as you go. Simply pour into the top, and drink!  And this a product with heart; With $1 from every bottle sold, Hydros funds sustainable water projects to help the nearly one billion people do not have access to water. Seriously, are you still drinking bottled water? SO uncool.

Antica Farmacista Home Ambiance Fragrance: The smell of this infuser ($25-92, depending on size) smells heaven sent and has made the area near our cat box somewhere we’d actually want to be.

Seventh Generation Natural 4x Laundry Detergent: As if we could love Seventh Generation products any more.. they have now totally changed the game in terms of green packaging.  The bottle is recyclable or compostable, made from 100% recycled fiber. The entire packaging system (fiber bottle, pouch, spout, cap) system uses 66% less plastic than a typical 100 oz 2X laundry bottle – while delivering the same number of loads! And of course, the detergent is its usual fabulous working, genius smelling, cruelty-free, and all-natural self.  Score.
