Celebration of Spring

Festivals and Fun Farm life in the 1830s will be showcased featuring performances of a traditional maypole dance throughout the day accompanied by music from the Ramapo Fault String Band. Civil War Weekend

Lecture: “Joseph Brant in the Minisink Valley”

Lectures / Seminars The Montague Association for the Restoration of Community History will host Frank Salvati, who has researched the Native American presence in the Delaware River region and will offer a presentation on the French and Indian War. Brant was a Mohawk chief who led raids into this area for the British, and was in the Battle of Minisink in 1779. Salvati will bring Native American artifacts from his personal collection.
