About Baobabconnections

Baobabconnections is an International Urban Grassroots Youth Programme. It offers a platform for people from around the globe and connects a network of young minds who are not afraid to show and use their creative skills to improve the world of today. Personal connections are at the forefront of our philosophy and activities, because only this can change your view on yourself and the world. Join our Baobabconnections family now.



Our mission

Our mission is to support young leaders around the world; to engage them in a meaningful interaction with like minded peers or inspiring elders and wherever we get the chance we will speak out about the strengths of young people.



Baobabconnections started in 2002 as a small social network on globalisation and has grown modestly over the years.



Recently we have worked hard on a new platform technology online that allows all our partners to start their own social network within the greater network that we form together. The advantage is that we all get to keep our own identity, while we are still one.



This new platform technology takes up much of our work and has become a new ambition. We feel the excitement of stepping into new areas of social networking...



What's in it for you?

Our website hosts an extensive information database on globalisation and personal articles from our international team of writers. We also have chatrooms, forums and blogs where you can have your say on current issues. You can react instantly to all of our online articles. Beside all this, we run online competitions and real-time events, making learning and interacting even more fun!



If you want to get in contact with Baobabconnections members, and if you want to share your opinion, you have to become a member yourself. Just go to the registration page, choose a personal login and password, and start putting together your personal profile.

Where are we based?

Baobabconnections is coordinated from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. We operate as a not-for-profit organisation under the wings of a bigger environmental and development organisation called Both ENDS.
